Signifying the conclusion of a large- scale fighting in American Civil War’s Western Theater, the Battle of Nashville went for two days on December 15 and 16 of 1864.
The Battle of Nashville was said to distinctly commence when the Union troop of Major General John Schofield left Franklin, Tennessee on November 30. He and his men focused on the development of their siege works together with the support of the Army of the Cumberland headed by Major General George Thomas who was identified to be the Rock of Chickamauga and in- charge of a group that was roughly 49, 000 in headcount.
