Nashville is considered the “heart and soul” of country music, but more than that it has its own astonishing urban sophistication combined with small-town warmth that attracts a lot of visitors every year. And why not, this charming city has its own share of remarkable attractions that boast of world-class museums, striking skyline, and countryside wide open spaces.

Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum

Among the “historic” attractions in Nashville, this monumental museum is an excellent introduction to the city’s famed country music. The museum crowds with artifacts such as the gold Cadillac of Elvis, the string tie of Gene Autry, and the handwritten lyrics of the “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys”.

Everything within the museum is state-of-the-art, including touch screens that permit access to photos and recordings from the enormous archives of the Country Music Foundation. The Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum opens from nine in the morning to five in the afternoon.

sight. The structure proved to be so admired that a more permanent, second structure was constructed during the 1930’s. Within the Parthenon are a collection of an American art and a thirteen-meter gold-painted statue of Athena. The Parthenon opens at 9:00am to 4:30pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

Ryman Auditorium

This auditorium is among the “significant” attractions in Nashville, known to be “The Mother Church of Country Music” as it was home to the most famed radio program. The Grand Ole Opry dwelled in this structure for more than thirty years until it was moved to Opryland USA Complex in 1974. The auditorium as originally built in 1890 by Captain Thomas Ryman, a riverboat captain, who dedicated the hall for spiritual music.

In 1994, the auditorium was especially renovated, and now hordes a range of performances. The structure is at its most excellence when there are performances; although its interior alone has its own charm. The auditorium is situated downtown of the city on 5th Ave.

for Visual Arts

The center hordes traveling exhibitions of everything and anything, from European masters to the American folk art. The Frist Center for Visual Arts is situated in an impressive, renovated post office building. Opening hours are; 10:00am to 5:30pm on Mondays through Saturdays; 10:00am to 8:00om during Thursdays; and 1:00pm to 5:00pm during Sundays.
