Nashville International Airport (BNA) is situated in the southeastern part of Nashville, Tennessee. Its airport code BNA is taken from the city’s early facilities of aviation called the “Berry Field, NAshville” that held the name of the present airport until 1988 when its name was changed to Nashville International Airport to portray plans for the international flights; it also holds four runways.
In late 1980’s and about early 1990’s, BNA was the hub of American Airlines. In 2006, the airport is provided by eleven airlines that operates an average of four-hundred-twenty-four flights every day, as well as is the focal point city of Southwest Airlines.
