Broadcasted on USA Network throughout the US, the Nashville Star reality TV program premiered on the 8th of March 2003. The show finished its 5th production season, making it a “longest-running” competition series in cable TV.
The Nashville Star is comparable to American Idol, where performers sing to make an impact to both the public and the celebrity judges. The public can vote on their favorite star through calling-in and/or through internet votes. However, unlike the American Idol TV show, Nashville Star performances are restricted to “country music”.

On the lookout for another country music artist that will take America by storm, Nashville Star premiered over USA Network on March 8, 2003. At this juncture, there are now five winners of the reality show where below will give you a glimpse of each.

If former Columbia Records Vice President Randy Jackson, Pop Singer Paula Abdul and British Producer Simon Cowell became very popular in American Idol (AI), so it is for Sony Music Marketing Consultant Tracy Gershon, Country Music Journalist Robert Oermann and Recording Artist Charlie Robison as they have been judging the contestants of Nashville Star Television Show (NSTS) every other season. However, NSTS ought to be different from AI because it features a country theme.

The 9th proper “studio album” of Bob Dylan, Nashville Skyline was released in 1969 through Columbia Records. The album manifested a dramatic exit from Bob Dylan’s former image of innovative, rock ‘n’roll and poetic folk music.
The Nashville Skyline album showed a complete fascination into country music that was built with a “rustic style” that Dylan experimented on with his 8th studio album called John Wesley Harding, along with simple songwriting compositions and more basic “themes”. The album introduced to audiences a very new “singing voice” from Bob Dylan - “a soft, affected country croon”.

In 1897, a Library law was passed by the Tennessee General Assembly, authorizing cities of twenty-thousand or more residents, to institute and uphold free reading rooms and public libraries.

Nashville’s official ice hockey team, the Nashville Predators are nicknamed “Preds” and was named after an extinct species, a saber-toothed cat’s fossil skull, found in the downtown area of Nashville in May of 1971 during the excavation of what is today’s twenty-eight-storey First American Center.
On the 25th of June 1997, the Nashville Predators joined the National Hockey League, when the league publicized that four cities, including Nashville, were awarded expansion franchises. The city of Nashville got quite a rewarding deal with paying only 31.25% of the usual eighty-million-fee for joining.
