On the lookout for another country music artist that will take America by storm, Nashville Star premiered over USA Network on March 8, 2003. At this juncture, there are now five winners of the reality show where below will give you a glimpse of each.
Season 1
In 2003, forty- one year old Buddy Jewell was declared as the first ever Nashville Star winner. A native of Arkansas, he was already able to release two albums prior to his stint as a contestant in the reality show. Season 2
Raised on Auburn, Alabama, Brad Cotter was chosen as the best among the other finalists in this reality show aired over USA Network. Growing up, he already had connections with professionals in the music industry such as his trainer Jerry Reed who was able to perform alongside the legendary king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. Cotter was actually voted as the “top child Gospel soloist in America” back when he was still active with his church in Columbus, Georgia. This Nashville Star winner then joined a singing group Silverado in his teenage years but left in 1993.
Season 3

ever audience since the period it started on television. Reports said that roughly three million viewers were glued to their tubes to watch the conclusion on April 26, 2005. A contract star under Universal South, Heriges is now regularly guesting in the famous Grand Ole Opry.
Season 4
Twenty- year old Chris Young was hailed as the Nashville Star winner on May 2, 2006. He was able to beat ten other contestants such as Casey Rivers of Lindale, Texas and Nicole Jamrose of Schererville, Indiana, among others. Approximately five months after his victory, he was on the road promoting his first album which ranked number three in the Billboard Country Charts. Even if he is very much involved in the music scene, Young continues to value his education finishing off recording industry management degree at Middle Tennessee State University.
On March 1, 2007, Season 5 ended with Angela Hacker as the newest Nashville Star winner. She and her brother, Zac, contended against each other and were the last two remaining survivors out of the eleven. The reality show is currently busy with auditions for the upcoming episode in 2008.
